Junk issue #2 progress..

Well, it's early days but issue #2 of Junk looks set to be a corker.. I have decided to soothe eyes blurred by the short winter days & minds depressed by the pitiful amount of sun we see here at this time of year with two of the greatest Harley chops I have ever seen - shot in California & Nevada last year but never seen until issue 2. And if that ain't enough I am featuring some .45 flathead fun in the snow from Germany plus all the usual junk! More as I make it up..! Keep watchin' this space!

Visit to Baron's Speedshop..

OK I did have to brave some of the worst driving conditions I've ever seen on the back roads of Surrey but I got back safely with a bulging SD card full of nice shots of Dick's 'shop and this killer ride Original Sin actually owned by Dick's partner in crime Del - just kiddin' about the crime bit.. Full feature in Junk issue #2

PlumKrazy lives..

I think they've made a crackin' job of the frame and the tank!

Visit to Baron's Speedshop..

Visited my mate Dick at Baron's Speedshop in Croydon yesterday - Dick has been commissioned to respray PlumKrazy which has been given a kool metallic powder coat ready for the road next year with it's new owner. Here's an exclusive sneak peek at the result..

Christmas time...

Christmas; the season of goodwill and, er.. impatient drivers: there was the fool yesterday for instance; overtaking 4 or 5 cars at once; cutting in yards before a roundabout, and I'm sorry.. I don't know what came over me except maybe the tight skeins of sunday drivers (out and about on the roads on a monday christmas shopping I spose?) 4 or 5 cars bunched together for safety, not a car's length between them; doing 40 in the de-restricted zone of a 60 mph carriageway; none of them willing or indeed capable of overtaking safely with a screen full of Megane shaking it's "little" ass down the highway.. ;) Christmas; the season of good will and..

Update:

Junk Motorcycle Magazine has been despatched today to all subscribers in the UK, NI, & USA!
I hope you enjoy it - production time was limited on Issue#1 due to myself having to get all the distribution and publishing deals in place (yeah I know - bloody excuses..) BUT that's done now & I can guarantee Issue#2 will have more pages with some of the features I didn't get time to include in #1. We will have a tech page or three, some glimpses into the workshops of the poor and infamous and plenty of in- depth bike features - oh and skimpily dressed gurls.. available March 8th 2011 onwards.

JUNK It's 'ere - yay!

I collected the subscription copies of Junk today from the printers in Enfield! It's like Xmas has come early this year.. The quality is really great and the spreads (we have a lot) look fine over the spine because the magazine is what they call perfect bound (it uses glue not staples) - you can't really see but the cover is very shiny (unlike my motorbike) ;)
Subscribers will see their copies very soon now.
Junk Motorcycle Magazine will also be in the newsagents (and of course can be ordered) from December 17th 2010. Hah.... :)

A cool BMW - wow!

Cool styling, nice pipes, NO FRONT BRAKE??? Loving this lil bike..

R.I.P. Doug "Dragon" Drake

I was shocked to read this morning of the sudden passing of Jockey Journal Board moderator Dragon aka Doug Drake. Dragon only emailed me yesterday - maybe the day before on a JJ matter when he again helped me get a post onto the JockShop forum.
A slightly controversial figure, Dragon ruled the Board with an iron fist in a velvet glove & whilst he didn't suffer fools too gladly he would help anyone when they needed it & for that he will be very sadly missed by all JJers..
